Cydia repos are just static files, which makes them a great fit for a tiny server.
What you needA Packages file listing each .deb with its size and checksums, a Release file describing the repo, and a web server that serves both over plain files. That's it.
GotchasOld devices dislike modern TLS, so I serve the repo over both HTTP and HTTPS. Compress the Packages file as .bz2 too, because Cydia asks for it first.
The Cydia Repository project page tracks how close mine is to going live.
